Parrot's help

Once upon a time in Ramapuram village, lived a firewood seller Sundaram. He lost his parents, when he was young, and so, lived with his grandmother. Under his grandmother's parenting, he learned to be kind and being helpful others. One day, while he was cutting a tree, he saw a parrot that fell on to the ground and became unconscious. Because of the fall, it suffered a few injuries. He sprinkled some water on the parrot, and applied some sap of tree leaves on the injuries. The Parrot recovered after some time and said, "You treated me with kind heart and saved my life. I will definitely help you, when you are in need" and flew away. Sundaram took the parrot's words casually and continued with his life.

One day, the king went to forest for hunting. He lost his diamond ring on the way. The diamond ring was his inheritance passed down from generations. The king felt it as a bad omen to lose such a ring. The next day, the king announced to the people in the kingdom, "whoever finds the ring will be felicitated by valuable gifts". Next day, while Sundaram was cutting trees, the parrot rested on his shoulder and said, "Dear friend, the other day you saved my life. Now, I got an opportunity to repay the gratitude. Take this ring, hand it over to king.", and gave him the ring which the parrot found in a deep valley. Sundaram handed the ring to the king and received valuable gifts and handsome money. He started a business with the money, took good care of his grandmother and lived rest of his life happily.
